1. Introduction
This PAIA Manual explains how a person may request access to records held by Carpe Musicam in terms of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2 of 2000, also known as PAIA.
Carpe Musicam respects the right of access to information and the right to privacy. Requests for access to records will be handled in line with PAIA, the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013, and other applicable South African laws.

3. Purpose of this manual
The purpose of this manual is to help members of the public understand:

4. Records that may be held by Carpe Musicam
Carpe Musicam may hold records relating to:
- Event and concert information
- Ticket purchases and booking confirmations
- Customer enquiries
- Payment confirmation records
- Website and online ticketing records
- Supplier and service provider records
- Financial, accounting and administrative records
- Marketing and communication records, where applicable
- Website security, cookies and technical records
Access to certain records may be refused where allowed by law, including where disclosure would affect the privacy of another person, confidential information, commercial information, security, or records protected by law.
5. Personal information processed by Carpe Musicam
Carpe Musicam may process limited personal information, including:

- Ticket booking information
- Payment confirmation information

6. How to request access to records
A person who wants access to a record held by Carpe Musicam may send a written request to:

The request should include:
- The requester’s full name and contact details
- A clear description of the record being requested
- The reason for requesting access, where required
- The preferred method of receiving the information
- Proof of identity, if requested
- Proof of authority, if the request is made on behalf of another person
Carpe Musicam may ask the requester to complete the prescribed PAIA request form where necessary.
7. Fees
Where allowed by law, Carpe Musicam may charge a reasonable request, search, preparation or reproduction fee before providing access to records.
If any fee applies, the requester will be informed before the request is processed further.
8. Response to requests
Carpe Musicam will consider each request in line with PAIA and applicable South African law.
Access may be granted, partly granted, or refused, depending on the nature of the record and the legal grounds that apply.
If access is refused, reasons will be provided where required by law.
9. Information Regulator
Requests, complaints or concerns relating to PAIA or POPIA may also be directed to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
The Information Regulator is responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance with PAIA and POPIA in South Africa.
